Our range of posts and stakes are ideal for fencing and crop support. We have an extensive range of posts, strainers and stays in a variety of profiles: round, square and rectangular. We have shown below some examples of fencing using our products and the most popular sizes.
The posts can be treated like timber wooden posts and installed using a pneumatic or hydraulic post driver and is aided by first water drilling the hole or using a mechanical post hole digger.
IR's fencing posts permit a variety of options for fencing in different environmental circumstances, including sandy soils. The most commonly used posts are 75mm round posts that are up to 3000mm in length, but we have a variety of sizes to suit your particular application.
We recommend the use of an Australian made product called Vicebite® Stay Brackets to join the stay to the end post and backing post. (www.vicebite.com.au)
The most commonly used strainer is 125mm diameter post braced and supported by a stay placed about 300mm from the top of the strainer to a block (say 200mm x 50mm) in the ground).
IR's posts are used extensively in viticulture as an alternative to CCA treated wood posts. They do not leach harmful contaminants into the surrounding soil in detectable levels, are easy to install and very durable.
