A Sustainable Future

A sustainable future depends on many things, not the least is innovation.

Integrated Recycling developed the science to transform waste plastics into a tough and extremely durable material called Polytensilate. Made from about 85% recycled polyethylene and polystyrene plastics, the Polytensilate formulation has been modified for the NoiseBarrier Wall performance.

Modified Polytensilate formulation:
→ Structurally Sound
→ Modular & Scaleable
→ Lightweight
→ Weight Bearing
→ Inhibits the transmission of sound wave

Applying Science to Sustainability

Tested with excellent results in the field and in the laboratories of The University of Melbourne geotechnical engineering team, the light weight Polytensilate panels have been assessed for noise transmission loss, fire resistance, UV resistance and the ability to sustain mechanical loads.
Manufactured in Mildura, the NoiseBarrier Wall is made from a specific mix of waste plastics that have served their primary uses as pipes and drums, agricultural films and produce boxes. Many of these agricultural films are made by fellow members of the Pro-Pac Packaging Group (ASX:PPG) which are recovered and repurposed by IR.
